Picture Perfect

What happens when one of the most sought after photographers around gets married? You see perfection in every. little. detail.

This was a special one for me. My mom has had the same best friend since 3rd grade. As a sort-of only child, (my brother was born when I was 17), the closest thing I experienced to siblings were my mom’s best friend’s three children. And yes, there are stories. From playing “office” together while our moms worked late, to sliding down epic banisters, to watching Labyrinth and The Princess Bride on repeat, my memories are full of wonderful weirdness and loads of laughter.

Tommy, Jess, and Jeff were my window into sibling relationships. Jessica, the middle child and only girl, was my figure skating pal, pool mermaid friend, and fellow collector of NKOTB pins. She has become an insanely talented photographer (seriously, check her out here). Jessica photographed my own wedding years ago. There are few people in this world that can make me laugh like Jessica.

She and her husband Dave have two beautiful children. You guys, they nailed their wedding. The craziest part? Jessica crafted and created so many of these gorgeous details herself! She has set the bar for the DIY wedding category. Oh- and there was not only a mac and cheese bar, but also a donut bar. I mean, need I say more?

Well, I’m going to…

T-Rex even made an appearance.

It was my utmost pleasure to style hair for this wedding. These ladies have hair for days, and it was so fun to bring their wedding day hair glam to life.
