Top Knot
Here’s the deal, I got a string of messages from one of my lifelong besties, after she saw my hiking/camping hair. I told her it was a five second bun, and she responded with the following meme:
First, my friend is hilarious. Second, you can all thank her for this post. Her name is Kristina, and you can give her a big ol’ shout out in the comments below.
Step One
Gather your hair in one hand at the location you want your bun to be. I recommend “raking” your hair with your fingers to smooth out any bumps.
Step Two
While holding the hair tightly with one hand, twist the hair and begin wrapping into a bun with the other. If you have layers or shorter hair, consider using product to smooth hair.
Step Three
After wrapping hair all the way around, secure it with an elastic, bobble, or scrunchie.
Step Four (optional)
If you want to have a fuller bun, gently pull apart the bun. Be careful to not pull too much hair out. If you are a finer/thinner haired gal, grab some PuffME to add fullness.
Step Five (optional)
To get a bump of volume in the front, you can use your hand to gently loosen the top like this.
Step Six (optional)
Pull some pieces out for an extra 90’s vibe. Throw a cute scarf around the bun. Go ahead and be your most extra-self.
Voila!
If you need some extra help, or just want to watch me be awkward AF, watch my step by step video. You can grab your QuickieME in light or dark shades here
And seriously, if this helped, thank Kristina.
